The first two hours of our events are like an extended "cocktail hour" with passed hors d’oeuvres at many events, drink specials, and low music conducive to business networking and making new connections. Later, our events take on a more social atmosphere, with great music, dancing and conversation. Our events are held at the hippest and most interesting venues. However, the music is never so loud that you cannot talk and our crowd is generally comprised entirely of young professionals. We do request "business" or "business casual" dress for our events. It's Tuesday night and young chic South Asian professionals are drinking champagne, networking and dancing. Until recently, you may not have heard of IndusTuesdays as it just recently started offering networking parties in New York City. IndusTuesdays’ events are business and social networking events, held after-work at nightclubs, lounges, mansions and other cool venues, attended by hundreds of young professionals and designed to make it easy to make new contacts and new friends. Tuesdays have become one of the hottest tickets in town, drawing hundreds of young South Asians who call New York home - to parties held once a month. The venues will change each time - but they all will be stylish and in the most fashionable districts of Manhattan.
IMG "Indus Marketing Group" was started back in the early 90’s by three friends. In a city like Manhattan where meeting South Asians was not the easiest thing to do, their goal was to create a resource for their fellow South Asian peers in the age range of 25 and over. What started as a friendly gathering of fifty or so people soon turned into a large social network and mingling events that attracted a five hundred plus turnout. Towards the late 90’s IMG slowly took the back seat as new younger networking groups formed and targeted the 21 and over South Asian crowd.
